In the last two days, some of our members may have experienced difficulties in accessing their accounts or making payments via our Mobile Banking App or Internet Banking services. We understand the importance of having uninterrupted access to online facilities and are truly sorry for any inconvenience these unplanned outages may have caused.
We assure you that our technical teams have been making every effort to fix the problem and get these systems back online as soon as possible. As a high priority, we are continuously monitoring our IT systems to ensure their stability and serviceability, and we greatly appreciate the patience of our members who may have been affected by these outages.
Is my account safe?
With the recent Optus and Medibank data breaches, we understand that there is growing concern regarding the safety and storage of sensitive information, and can ensure members that these outages are not related to any data breach that has happened in the community, nor are they related to any cyber attack. Australian Mutual Bank remains committed to the protection of our members and continues to apply strict identification processes, two-factor authentication, and other security methods to uphold the trust our members have in using our services and facilities as their preferred financial institution.
Why does this keep happening?
Through a thorough investigation, an underlying technical issue within our internal systems was found to be causing the outages. Our team have been working around the clock to fix and stabilise our IT systems and provide a resolution.
What are you doing to resolve this?
Our IT team and third-party providers continue to work tirelessly to ensure the reliability and accessibility of our services. This includes scheduled maintenance on our technical systems and processes to provide continuous access to our services, as well as make improvements and enhancements to deliver a better experience for our members.
