Australian Mutual Bank was delighted to attend the 2022 Newcastle & District Railway Christmas Party in recognition of our ongoing support of the transport industry for over 60 years.

The family-friendly event was held at the ever popular Edgeworth Miniature Trains located in Lake Macquarie on 30th November 2022. The Lake Macquarie Live Steam Locomotive Society is volunteer-run and operates the attraction which sees miniature train rides enjoyed by local train enthusiasts and kids alike.

The 2022 Newcastle & District Railway Christmas Party invited members of the Newcastle Social Club to come along and enjoy a wonderful day out with their families whilst also getting into the festive spirit.

Australian Mutual Bank participated in the fun-filled event by having a stall with free handouts and product information, as well as sponsoring the wonderful face painters available for the children who attended. Australian Mutual Bank also provided Christmas Hampers and Eskies to help support the raffle.

Glen Warner, Australian Mutual Bank Business Development Manager, attended the Christmas Party stating that the event was a great way to strengthen relationships with the railway industry and chat with members. “It was great to see families and kids having fun, and a good opportunity for me to meet existing and potential new members” Glen said.

Australian Mutual Bank, along with other mutual partners Transport Life and Leisure (TL&L) and RT Health who attended on the day, are proud to have a long partnership with the rail movement. Australian Mutual Bank can trace its origins back to 1953 with the formation of the Motor Transport Employees Savings & Loans Co-op and is proud to hold strong ties with the industry who have continued to support mutuals and co-operatives.
