As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting individuals affected by domestic and family violence (DFV), Australian Mutual Bank has partnered with Barnardos Australia to improve the safety and wellbeing of families at the Penrith Children's Family Centre.
Recognising the importance of providing secure environments for those in crisis, Australian Mutual Bank has funded the replacement of three outdated shower units in the centre's crisis accommodation facilities. The previous curtain-style showers posed potential risks, particularly for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The new installations offer enhanced privacy and safety, contributing to a more supportive setting for families on their journey toward stability and healing.
Mel Cooke, Program Manager at Barnardos Penrith, expressed her gratitude stating: "I am so thankful for the support and generous donation that will help provide safety for our families and children who are going through difficult times. We really appreciate the donation; it is such a benefit for our families.".
This initiative reflects our dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by domestic violence. By collaborating with organisations like Barnardos Australia, we’re aiming to create safer futures for those in need.
