We are proud to continue our support for Baabayn Aboriginal Corporation with a $10,000 donation to help sustain their vital programs and services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in Western Sydney.

Baabayn (meaning “ancestral woman” in the Dharug language) was established by five Aboriginal Elders to create a welcoming space where community members can heal, reconnect with culture, and access practical support.

Our donation will assist Baabayn in delivering a range of ongoing community initiatives, as well as covering costs associated with organising NAIDOC Week celebrations - providing safe, supportive, and culturally grounded spaces for families and young people to learn and celebrate culture.

Mark Worthington, CEO of Australian Mutual Bank, said: “We’re honoured to support the important work of Baabayn Aboriginal Corporation. Their programs play a vital role in empowering families and strengthening cultural connections across Western Sydney. Supporting organisations like Baabayn reflects our commitment to reconciliation and to helping create stronger, more inclusive communities.”

This contribution forms part of Australian Mutual Bank’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation and community support. Having finalised our first Reflect RAP, Australian Mutual Bank is now close to launching our Innovate RAP - exciting times as we continue to strengthen our relationships and support initiatives that build stronger, fairer, and more connected communities.
