Australian Mutual Bank is proud to announce the official launch of our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia.

This new RAP represents a significant step forward from our previous Reflect RAP, with commitments spanning the next two years. It demonstrates our ongoing dedication to reconciliation, building stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and creating meaningful opportunities for cultural learning and engagement.

The RAP Working Group has been closely involved in developing this plan, supported by the expertise and guidance of Murawin, an Aboriginal owned & led Indigenous consultancy. Their contributions have been invaluable in helping us create a thoughtful, practical, and authentic RAP that reflects our values and commitment as a customer-owned bank.

We also sincerely thank Reconciliation Australia for their ongoing support and guidance throughout this process, which has been instrumental in helping us achieve this milestone.

Mark Worthington, CEO of Australian Mutual Bank, said: "Our Innovate RAP is a meaningful step forward in our reconciliation journey. It outlines clear commitments that will strengthen our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, build cultural understanding within our organisation, and create lasting impact. We’re proud of the work that’s gone into this plan and excited to begin implementing it over the next two years".

Our Innovate RAP outlines a number of actions across governance, cultural learning, employment, and community engagement. It also reflects our broader commitment to reconciliation as part of our corporate social responsibility.

We look forward to implementing these actions and sharing updates on our progress over the next two years. This RAP is an exciting milestone in our reconciliation journey, and we are grateful to everyone who has contributed to making it a reality.
